HORARD is a local CSO operating in Uganda with focus on Northern and Eastern Uganda working predominantly with fisher-folk communities on Lake Kyoga and Lake Kwania, poor and marginalized people to improve on their education standards and poverty reduction.
HORARD was created in 2004 cutting across all strata of national development with activities focused on Fishing communities, Youths, Women emancipation, Poverty Alleviation, AIDS/HIV, Education, Environment management, Population, Conflict Resolution, networking with other NGOs and Community Based Organizations(CBOs) at community levels, capacity building through participatory approaches and community empowerment, basic community health care, nutrition, cross border initiatives, welfare programs, literary programs, community development, and Income Generating Initiatives (IGAs) and other related projects.
